Uncle Chubby’s Delivers Burnt Food!

Back in the day our family loved to order from this restaurant. It had great food and service, so it was always a great time with Uncle Chubby’s at the table.

This year we have called and ordered many times, although the customer service seemed unfriendly and bored, the food was still always good so it was worth the frustration.

Well as of our last order, we will never order from this establishment again. Our meal arrived burnt and almost 30 minutes late per GrubHub’s estimated deliver time. The employees had to notice how burnt the food was when they put the lid on it and yet still sent it out to the customer anyway. When we reached out to the establishment we were told they were to busy to remake and redeliver the order not burnt. Apparently our satisfaction was not important!

We were then informed that we could call back at another time and there would be a credit waiting, and they would redeliver the food. Well Uncle Chubby does not keep his or his employees word! When we called back no one had any idea of a credit and the owner actually argued with us, and even though we had proof of the order through GrubHub he was still unfriendly and unwilling to replace what we had paid for and didn’t get.

Even GrubHub couldn’t understand this owners lack of customer service when we complained to them. You would think the business owner of this establishment would want to make his customers happy, but if your not happy with his food don’t plan on a refund, credit or even a re-delivery because it’s not going to happen.

Take my advice and stay away from Uncle Chubby, he’s not about providing good service or good food anymore!


Verizon and the Municipal Construction Fee


New York State Verizon customers under contract for Verizon Double Play, have had there bills continue to increase even though they are under contract price, due to Verizon charging a surcharge that they claim is a Federal Tax due to VOIP, but this surcharge was denied by the PSC. Yet Verizon has continued to increase the charge to all their 2 year contract holders unfairly. This surcharge continues to rise without any notice or explanation to their customers for the increase.


Verizon claims that this is a Federal charge mandatory for VOIP customers, and is listed under the Federal Tax part of your bill, but in reality this is a Verizon surcharge not mandatory by the federal government or the PSC, it is only Verizon collecting and increasing this surcharge.

Customers who have two year contracts are shocked when suddenly out of nowwhere their bill increases with this unknown charge. When the customer contacts Verizon, they are told that this charge is out of Verizon’s control, but in reality it’s their surcharge and their way of increasing your contract price.

Why New York State home owners can’t catch a break!



When the City can’t make their budget who pays the bill, the Home owner.

When the city tears up the roads with the DPW trucks who pays for the oiling, the Home Owner.

When the State and the County raise property taxes again, and then NY state gives the Home Owner a rebate, who takes it back, the City Common Council.

The Home owner looses every time in NY, because any rebate they were expecting to receive will now be in the form of a higher property tax burden.


When the Home owner is late on their water bill after the first of the year, the City will call this arrears and place a small portion of that bill on the home owners property taxes and call it water rent, just to make the home owners escrow payment even higher and to force them into paying the Department of Water on time after the first of the year just to avoid this scam charge. That is the only way this benefits the City because to wait a year for pennies that they could have had now just doesn’t make any sense. Even scammers don’t have it this good.

This is the wonders of being a Home Owner in NY State. You cringe every time your new tax bill is due to arrive, your problems are not with paying the Mortgage payment, but with paying your escrow payment. It’s just like having an adjustable rate payment on a thirty year fixed loan!

New York State places an incredibly high and unfair property tax burden on it’s Home Owners. If your a first time home buyer and you think your getting a good deal because the property here is really cheap, don’t make that purchase, because the entire burden of the State will be coming out of your pocket, and all you will have left is your home.

Your money goes away with CashnetUSA

CashnetUSA doesn’t give loans, they ask you to provide money on a card, provide them with the card information, and then they take it, and when you call looking for your loan, then they say they need more money on another card to prove that you can payback the so called loan your never going to receive.

The only person loaning money here, is the consumer who gets ripped off by way of Gift Cards. If this was a reliable company, they would not require you to front money for money, nor would they ask you to purchase gift cards. Never give these fools access to your cash, because your money will go away with cashnetUSA.



eharmony will auto renew for you

If you think your going to find your perfect match, or any hot babes at eharmony, think again. Many relationship seekers have complained about signing up for the service, and instantly turning off the auto renew feature, and then being surprised when their account auto renewed anyway when their service expired.

When the subscriber contacts eharmony, they are told eharmony cannot refund the auto renew charge, even if it’s only been several days since the charge was processed through the subscribers bank account. If the subscriber complains enough, eharmony may offer to decrease the service time and provide a small refund, but If they can refund partial why not all?

eharmony is looking to get something for nothing, and that is considered fraudulent practices. They purposely make it hard for their subscribers to cancel their subscriptions, and to take their accounts off auto-renew. eharmony provides no payment notifications, in the hopes that the charges will be overlooked, and if they aren’t, by the time of contact eharmony.com can just tell it’s subscriber it’s to late “No Refunds“.

Instead of finding a relationship, the only thing these subscribers found was an empty bank account. Even eharmony.com‘s free communication weekend is false. Why would you want to communicate with someone over the internet, when you can’t even view their entire profile, because nothing is really free at eharmony!

Buy Kenmore get less

Whatever you do at Sears, don’t run into a Kenmore Appliance. Kenmore appliances may look like a great buy when their on sale compared to the competitors, but Kenmore’s parts are cheaply made, and without Sears pricey service plan, your screwed when something goes wrong. Now after spending all that money to replace an old appliance that worked great, you are left with a newer appliance with constant issues.

There should be more than a one year limited warranty on an expensive appliance such as Kenmore Refrigerator’s. Sears wants you to purchase their warranty plan, so instead of standing behind the Kenmore product you are purchasing from them, Kenmore makes their warranty so barley there, that if you don’t pay for the Sears warranty plan, Kenmore’s cheap parts are bound to stop working as soon as that limited warranty expires.

American Residential Warranty, your claim is Denied!

American Residential Home Warranty, also know as ARW makes claims in their commercial that their warranty coverage gives the Home Owner peace of mind, but once something happens and you call them with a claim, there is always some reason that your claim is denied. The Home Owner is left to worry, and repair items and parts that ARW claims are not covered under their Warranty policy.

Consumers have complained about not receiving the policy, or list of items covered and not covered. Then when they go to make a claim suddenly this list is available. ARW also is the one to place the work order for the repairs and you must use the company of their choice. You the Home Owner are left to wait and wonder about who’s coming to service your needed repair.

This type of warranty is really not worth it. With the price of the ARW policy, and all the non covered parts and claim denials, it’s only more of a headache for the Home Owner than its worth. Always investigate and research a company and their complaints before purchase, only then will you have peace of mind.
